Went to look at a 350i at the dealer but bought the grey S2 next to it instead. Loved it, low cost entry to the TVR world at a time that most folks didn't know the TVR brand.
Ok so its not a V8 but for my first experience of track days and for general runs out its been a wonderful introduction to performance motoring.
Now what to get next??
Owned the car for 20 months, and realy loved every minute. This was my first step into TVR ownership, and when it came to the time to change I looked at loads of other marques, and eventually realised...

my first TVR, in a very rare bronze and a gorgeous soundtrack, people say the s models get under your skin and they are right, a lovely sports car that never let me down, and good handling.

Sadly missed. A brilliant intro to TVR ownership. reliable and cheap to run. The sports car bargain of the moment.
Great intro into tvr, although build quality was suspect and the extra money does help, i spent 6000 on my blue one which was in great condition. wickedly noisy but not to quick.
After driving lots of performance Japanese cars, I found the S2 a completely different drive. At first you would be forgiven for thinking it's lack of buttons and widgets are a sign of it's simplicit...

Not had it that long, cost me £5000, already spent £2000 on her(!), love driving her though.

Had a Porkster before that could only be described as dull in comparison. The noise, the looks. To top it off people winding down their windows as you go past. Fantastic.
